About Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
TPI is the world’s leading educational organization and research facility dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

Born in New Jersey and attended the University of Central Florida. Majored in Business Administration, John has been a Golf Pro for more than 25 years. He is the current head PGA Golf Professional at Laurel Creek Country Club (since 2005). He qualified for 1999 U.S. Open at Pinehurst, North Carolina and won the 2000 New Jersey Open. John qualified for the USGA Senior Open in 2014.
His teaching philosophy is to improve a golfer’s swing and increase their enjoyment of the game. There is no such thing as one perfect golf swing that we can all adapt to. A basic and simple approach that I feel leads to a more consistent swing is mastering the pre-swing fundamentals. These fundamentals include grip, posture, stance, ball position and alignment. Mastering these key elements of the golf swing will ultimately lead to some good solid results on the golf course. Helping golfers improve is the greatest reward of all.
